Auto Bypass Valves are used to maintain a constant minimum flow of water through a boiler and reduce the chance of over-heating.
This is particularly useful where a system has radiators fitted with Thermostatic Radiator Valves. When TRVs close, the water flow rate reduces. When this happens the Auto Bypass Valve will open to maintain the flow through the heat exchanger.
